Kirsten Accommodation recommend feed ducks for free these school holidays

What’s for free in Mudgee?

Lawson Park is at the end of Lewis Street. A beautiful park filled with grassy areas and tall trees on the banks of the Cudgegong river. It is an awesome place to picnic, enjoy the play equipment, bike ride, feed the ducks and stroll along the footpath river side to view the park outdoor sculptures.

The Wobbly Bridge at the end of Court st, Mudgee and Shhh … it is a local’s secret. It is a suspension bridge that connects the Cudgegong River walking track and Glen Willow Stadium. The bridge wobbles as you walk on it. My family loves it. We laugh as the kids run, skip and jump across the bridge making us wobble.

The Drip walking trial is 30 mins drive north of Mudgee on Ulan Road. The trail is in Goulburn River State Conservation Area and meanders beside Goulburn River to The Drip, or ‘the Great Dripping Wall’. Rain water trickling through the porous rock wall makes it a cool oasis. It is about an hours return walking trail through cool shade. The trail is a terrific place to paddle in the river or to have a picnic. Drive another 5mins north you you find the walking trial to “Hands on the Rock” where you will see hand stencils of Wiradjuri people on the rock face.
